This substantial pair is cast in solid bronzed brass rather than lightweight hollow metal. Each bulldog rests on a decorative draped plinth-style base with detailed paws and expressive features. No maker or foundry mark was found, so the exact age and manufacturer are not being overstated.
Good vintage condition with natural patina, oxidation, and finish wear. The undersides retain old rust-brown fabric-like protective coverings. Approx. 6 in tall and 4.5 in wide each, with bases around 3 by 4 in. Sold only as the pair.
